How to: Storage Unit Workouts

With the summer holidays just around the corner, it’s time to get your beach body in check! However, if you’re in the middle of moving house or clearing out some unused items, you might struggle to find the time to get to the gym or carry out your home workouts.

Did you know that moving items into storage can be an incredibly effective workout? At Store That, London Docklands, we don’t just offer fantastic storage solutions. We provide the ability to carry out an effective workout, whilst putting your belongings into a storage unit in E14. Read on to find out how.

Take two litre bottles of water (moving in this heat is thirsty work!) and stand with your feet hip width apart. Raise the weight up to your shoulders and above your head until your arms are straight. Lower them and repeat 15 times.

Legs & Bums

When you are moving things from the car to our drive up units in Canary Wharf, try lunges to work your thighs. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and lunge forward with your left leg until your right knee is just above the ground. Stay in this position and pulse gentle up and down for 20 reps. Switch legs and slowly make your way to and from the car like this to ensure your body reaps the benefits.

Once you’re inside the container, it’s time to place your box inside. This is a great time to start practising those squats! Grab a box and stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Hold the box out in front of you and slowly squat down until your legs are at a 90-degree angle and then move back up again. Repeat these 20 times.

For abs that will make a Love Island contestant jealous, try doing sit ups in your storage container. For an extra intensive workout, try moving boxes side to side as you sit up. That way, you can work out your core muscles and look fantastic by the pool.

But Remember

- If you are huffing and puffing too much, our team are on site to help you with the move in, not your lunges.

- Your activities will be on CCTV!
